Calgary IMS Membership
Calgary Insight Meditation Society membership costs $20.00 and is valid April 1 through March 31 each year - sign up or renew for 2024-25 now!
Your membership supports the work we do to help connect meditation and Dharma practitioners, build community, and offer opportunities for practice and fellowship. As a member, you are eligible to vote at our Annual General Meeting and take part in volunteer opportunities.
In 2023, Calgary IMS offered spring and fall weekend retreats, a summer residential retreat, semi-monthly meditation groups and online book club. We also collaborated with four other prairie sanghas to provide the online Dhamma Lineage Stories series and with Saskatoon Insight Meditation to offer the online Climate Conversations series. Due to your support, we are able to offer scholarships for retreats and classes to reduce financial barriers to participation in Calgary IMS activities.

Board Members Wanted!
Calgary IMS board members help fulfill our mission to cultivate opportunities for practice, learning and community-building in Calgary. As a board member, you’ll commit to a two-year term which will involve activities like helping organize retreats, classes and other meditation events, managing the organization, getting to know other meditators and supporting the meditation community. Active board member participation in some retreats and events each year is encouraged.
We believe the practice of developing the mind and heart through meditation and Dharma teachings supports spiritual growth for the benefit of individuals, our community, and all beings, which in turn will lead to a more compassionate world that meets each moment with kindness, mindfulness and generosity.
